HOUSTON: China Tomorrow Project

The Houston group has recently hosted a presentation about the APSA program during our school open house. Since the open house is a time when parents come to meet with the teachers, we thought it would be a great time to speak to students and parents about the program and share our experiences with them.

During the event we talked to both parents and students about what we did during the whole six weeks, including stereotypes and chinese cultural shock. After our presentation we helped answer questions and gave our APSA business cards to those that were interested in knowing more about the program.

The next presentation we hosted was at Sharpstown International School. In the morning Aaron and I gave a speech about about our experience in China to the whole school. Our teachers were really proud of us. Later in the afternoon Marylu and Elizabeth came to our school. We had a booth and there we talked to different people that came to ask us about the program. Marylu, Aaron and I gave them our business cards so they could contact us.

Now I can say that all this presenting and public speaking helped to promote our experience with APSA because I received a call from a lady that was interested on her child to be part of the amazing experience that APSA brings to everyone that becomes part of it.
